Facility Availability
Our historic clubhouse is available when not used for educational / cultural programs and philanthropic activities. The Nineteenth Century Club has beautiful, elegant, comfortable surroundings that are fully accessible and always smoke-free for your wedding, receptions, banquets, meetings, and special events. Among the many charitable activities is our children's programming, such as the one featurng Chicago's own cultural treasure, Ella Jenkins. Through special activities such as our annual Mardi Gras Fundraiser (photos from these events are in Gallery below), we raise money to fund special charitable projects for the benefit of our surrounding communities and to fund scholarships for high school graduates. In 2007 we started using our facility for our Go Green initiative.
Located in the western suburb of Oak Park, Illinois, we are a short drive from many Interstate highways, downtown Chicago, and both Midway and O'Hare airports. We are also accessible from Metra and the CTA Green Line "L." The facility is simply perfect for Weddings and Receptions, Corporate Events, Quinceneras, Recitals, Programs, and Performances. Two dining rooms and a ballroom are available for Teas, Luncheons, Dinners, Buffets, Cocktail Parties, Graduation Parties, and Receptions. Check the availability of our facilities. Margaret Houck Ballroom / Auditorium (85' x 60') With room for over 200 guests, the ballroom/auditorium can accommodate large banquets, weddings, receptions, awards ceremonies, fundraisers, programs and special events with room to spare. Ceremonial seating is available as well. Best suited for large parties!

South Dining Room (50' x 30') The larger South Dining Room offers the perfect atmosphere and elegance for medium-sized parties and ceremonies, as well as corporate events, awards banquets and graduation parties.

The Club is centrally located in the Chicagoland area and within walking distance of the Harlem station of the CTA Green Line and the Marion Street stop on the Metra Union Pacific West Line. It is a short distance to many houses of worship in Oak Park and River Forest, Illinois. This is a fully accessible building.
