Our historic landmark building is available when not in use for educational / cultural programs or philanthropic activities. The Nineteenth Century Club has beautiful, elegant, comfortable surroundings that are fully accessible and are completely smoke-free for your wedding, receptions, banquets, meetings, and special events.
Located in the western suburb of Oak Park, Illinois, we are a short drive from many Interstate highways, downtown Chicago, and both Midway and O'Hare airports. We are also accessible from Metra and the CTA Green Line "L." The facility is simply perfect for Weddings and Receptions, Corporate Events, Quinceneras, Recitals, Programs, and Performances. Two dining rooms and a ballroom are available for Teas, Luncheons, Dinners, Buffets, Cocktail Parties, Graduation Parties, and Receptions. This is a completely nonsmoking facility.

Catering: The facility maintains a list of 7 preferred caterers. Food and bar services must be provided by one of the Club's approved Caterers. Margaret Houck Ballroom / Auditorium (85' x 60') With room for over 250 guests, the ballroom/auditorium can accommodate large banquets, weddings, receptions, awards ceremonies, fundraisers, programs and special events with room to spare. Ceremonial seating is available as well. Best suited for large parties!

South Dining Room (50' x 30') The larger South Dining Room offers the perfect atmosphere and elegance for medium-sized parties and ceremonies, as well as corporate events, awards banquets and graduation parties.

North Dining Room (32' x 30') The North Dining Room offers small to medium sized parties a cozy dining setting.
Your guests will enjoy the delicious hors d'oeuvres, salads and entrees on the menu.

After expenses, the proceeds from rental events go to help maintain the Nineteenth Century Charitable Association's Landmark Historic Building, provide cultural and educational programming for surrounding communities, provide four-year scholarships for Oak Park-River Forest High School graduates, provide space in our building for other not-for profit events and provide direct support for other Not-for-Profit Charitable Organizations in Oak Park/River Forest/Forest Park. |

Our venue is centrally located in the Chicagoland area. It is within walking distance of the CTA Green Line (Harlem) and the Metra Union Pacific West Line. It is a short distance to many houses of worship in Oak Park and River Forest, Illinois. Public transportation facilities are fully accessible.|
